A skydiving mishap almost upset the Oak Bay Tea Party Sunday.
Oak Bay Sergeant Chris Goudie says 2 skydivers were injured during Sunday's Aerial performance segment of the Oak Bay Tea Party.
The mishap happened around 3:15 p.m. at Willow's Beach when 2 skydivers had hard landings.
One was taken away by a private citizen the other had to be rushed to hospital with a broken femur. "He broke his femur he was conscious and talking to our officers. Fairly tough guy typical military. Air currents were treacherous 2 guys were injured the first was taken away in a private vehicle the second had to be transported by ambulance,"
The name of the injured skydiver has not been released but he was part of the military skydiving contingent taking part in the show.
There were two teams taking part one was from Pacific Airports which is located at the airport in Campbell River, B.C. and Capital City Skydiving located on Willingdon Road, North Saanich, B.C.
