Vic High might be saved from the wrecking ball.
At a Monday night meeting, the Greater Victoria School Board voted to explore two concepts to seismically upgrade the interior of Victoria High School and keep the facade intact.
Originally, three possibilities were being considered including the more cost effective option of knocking down the 1914 structure and building a new school was being considered. But, after push back, the board decided not develop that plan any further.
However, it's not the end of the story because the Ministry of Education gets final say.
