A well-known coroner in BC is retiring.
Barb McLintock is moving on after 13 years with BC Coroner's service. For the last five years of that time she worked as the public face dealing with the media.
She says one memory that stands out was the death of Victoria raised actor Cory Monteith, known for his role in the TV show Glee.
"It was completely insane. I think that was the most insane it was.... it was fairly soon after I took over [the media job] and we were talking to media from Brazil and Japan and Mexico."
McLintock was also worked as a reporter with the Province and Times Colonist newspapers before starting work with the coroner's service.
