BC Ferries says the two busiest travel days for their fleet, December 23rd and 27th are coming up, and its advised that you make your travel plans early. Get to your terminal early and make a reservation if you can.
This week is also the busiest week for air travel, and Victoria International Airport Vice-President of Operations and Development, James Bogusz, tells CTV Vancouver Island, checking the airport website for what you can pack is always a good idea.
"You can see what is permitted by CATSA--what you should put in your bag, what you should put in your checked luggage, what you can carry on. And remember, even though its the time of giving this year, make sure you don't wrap your gifts before taking them through airport security otherwise you might be disappointed when they have to be unwrapped to be checked."
Bogusz says you'll need to arrive at the airport a full 90 minutes before your scheduled departure to ensure you make your flight.
