Hundreds of protestors took to the streets of Victoria Thursday to protest the Trans Mountain pipeline which was given the go ahead by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday.
Protestors gathered at Bay Street and marched towards the Legislature. Jessica Brown of the Heltsiuk First Nation tells CTV Vancouver Island she was in North Dakota protesting the proposed pipeline there, “it’s empowering to see what an individual, what a group of people can do.”
The protest ended around 8:30 and was part of a nationally coordinated protest against pipelines.
