A passionate crowd gathered at Centennial Square in Victoria to protest the Trudeau government’s change of heart on electoral reform.
The rally is one of many across Canada calling on Justin Trudeau to keep his election promise.
Green Party M.P. Elizabeth May spoke at what she calls "a day of action" across Canada
“Canadians are gathering because apparently Justin Trudeau thought he could break a key election promise and Canadians wouldn’t care.”
May says they are not giving up and people can call on Trudeau through all different mediums. A petition with signatures was also spread around the crowd at the rally.
Despite being a key promise in his election campaign, Justin Trudeau told a crowd in Yellowknife during a recent hall tour of the Arctic communities that his decision was justified.
