Around 2000 politicians from across the province will be in Victoria this week for the Union of B.C. Municipalities Convention (UBCM).
The leaders will gather at the conference centre vote on close to 200 resolutions on a wide range of civic issues.
Among the big topics of discussion this week include tent cities, homelessness, gang violence in communities, climate action and forestry policy decision making.
The guests that are scheduled to speak this week include Premier Christy Clark, B.C. Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver, opposition leader John Horgan and Minister for infrastructure and communities Amarjeet Sohi.
