Victoria Police confirm they are investigating multiple reports of break and enters to downtown businesses that is being linked by the same method of entry.
It's being called defeating Victoria fire department key vaults---a method fire fighters use to gain access to buildings during a fire or other emergencies the police say in a news release.
The first report came in on September 21st and police aren't saying how many businesses have been affected and what has been stolen in their on-going investigation, only that no one has been injured during these incidents.
Since the first reported break in on Sept 21st, police say they and the Victoria fire department have been working to secure the key vaults and have control of them to ensure building access security is restored.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crimes Stoppers.
