The man accused in the death of West Shore Mountie Constable Sarah Beckett has now pleaded guilty.
At an arraignment hearing Thursday morning Kenneth, Jacob Fenton pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death. The Crown is expected to stay three other charges including flight from police causing death.
The guilty plea comes after a long wait. The arraignment hearing had been pushed back a number of times before finally moving ahead Thursday.
The April 5, 2016 crash killed the 32-year-old mother of two when a truck hit her cruiser in the intersection of Peatt Rd. and Goldstream Ave. in Langford.
