There's a new app that will make it easier for new immigrants coming to the Capital Region.
The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria is partnering with Google on a project to bridge the language gap.
Google Translate training will be provided to newcomers, and will be given to community stakeholders, businesses and agencies who deal with refugees.
The "We Speak Translate" app provides a common platform for communication for newcomers while they're are working on their English skills.
Organizations that have taken the training will receive a program decal indicating they are part of the program to promote diversity and communication across language barriers.
