Gas stations around Greater Victoria have hiked their price at the pump, and not just by a little.
The gas price monitoring website, GasBuddy.com, reports a few service stations as high as 147.9 -- a 13 cente-a-litre jump.
But most stations have settled at 144.9 for a litre of regular fuel, and 10 cent hike.
There are still a few holdouts in the 134 range. At last report the Petro Can at Pat Bay Highay and Sayward was still at 134.5, and the Esso at Douglas and Tolmie was 134.9. The cheapest gas is still Costco in Langford, at 133.9.

The hikes come less than 2 weeks before new carbon tax rates kick in, which will hike fuel prices even further.
BC’s version of the carbon tax will jump to $35 a ton on April 1st, the highest in Canada.
And the Canadian Taxpayer Federation says you'll also be paying tax on that tax because of the way it's calculated. The CTF recommends citizens write to their MP's demanding that be changed.
