Five fire trucks and more than 20 firefighters could be seen at the home, and smoke was pouring from the roof when crews cut a hole in the roof to attack it.
Victoria firefighters were called out to deal with smoke coming from a heritage home Wednesday morning in Fernwood.
Flames could be seen shooting from the steeple of the home, on Balmoral and Fernwood roads about 9:30 a.m.

The cause has not been determined yet, but it was contained to the attic area. However, there is sigtnificant water damage to the lower floors.
It's too early to say what sparked the blaze. No one was in the home at the time of the fire.
