Law enforcement members will be taking a chilly plunge into the waters off Willow Beach Sunday for the first ever Vancouver Island Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC.
Victoria Police Chief Del Manak is taking the plunge in full uniform.
Money raised for the event supports Special Olympics BC's athletes.
Special Olympics BC President & CEO Dan Howe, says Special Olympics athletes are an inspiration, and always give it their all.
"Not only at their competitions, but everyday when they are training to imporve their sports skill, improve their fitness, improve their health. We continually set challenges to the althletes at Special Olympics and they continually beat those challenges and ask us to set more."
The plunge takes place at Willows Beach in Oak Bay Sunday, March 11th at 11 am
