The Downtown Victoria Business Association has joined forces with Car share company Modo to help free up parking spaces in downtown.
Modo has offered downtown Victoria businesses free memberships which Mayor Lisa Helps says she hopes will help alleviate in part the parking shortage. "The DVBA joined, we're looking for transportation solutions this might be something for business to look at if their employees don't need their cars during the day it saves parking spots for their customers."
Modo has been in Victoria since 1997. According to their website you can rent a Modo for as low as $4/hour, including gas, insurance, maintenance, bridge tolls, and parking privileges.
