After being put off for several years, Vic West's Dockside Green project has a new plan for the development of the remainder of the project. The propsal goes before Victoria city council for rezoning tomorrow.
Dockside Green's sustainability features set new standards for environmentally conscious neighbourhood design when the project first launched in 2005.
Norman Shearing President, Dockside Green says the revised plan still remains an environmental leader, beginning with its own wastewater treatment plant.
"We have a man-made wetlands system as part of our wastewater treatment plant that supports birds, fish and wildlife, which, in the middle of a neighbourhood which is pretty fascinating."
The $9-Million project will see two three-story buildings with rental housing and will be built to LEED and Platinum standards.
