The City of Nanaimo has served DisconTent City with a trespassing notice- believed to be the first step in an injunction against the camp.

The City's deadline to be out is Tuesday May 29th @ 9am and the camp is asking all supporters in our community to come to the camp and rally at 8:30am to show their support

for the camp and the need for a permanent solution for the over 350 people experiencing homelessness in our city.  Campers say this is the only safe option at this point and after

over a week they say they have proved they are well organized, can keep the site very clean, and have built a community that runs efficiently. The city has been providing garbage collection

and port-a-potties.
