VicPD is investigating a daring daylight robbery which took place in downtown Victoria Wednesday afternoon around 4:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Fort Street.
VicPD spokesperson Bowen Osoko says 2 men on one motorcycle made off with an undisclosed amount of merchandise. "When officers arrived they discovered what appears to be a very quick robbery, they were in and out quickly. We can't talk about what was taken. Some evidence was recovered outside the building. Best thing to do if you saw something, contact VicPD on the nonemergency line at 250-995-7654. Every officer in the entire city is looking for the motorcycle and the suspects. Once we have an eye on it, we will be able to track it down. This type of daylight robbery does not happen very often in Victoria.
The suspects were wearing black vests with green stripes and had white helmets and were last seen speeding towards Government on Broughton Street.
This is the second time this store has been targeted. Paul Mara was also robbed back in 2012.
