Oak Bay Police are investigating a Friday afternoon incident near the intersection of Newport and St David.
Witnesses reported a white SUV sideswiped a cyclist and continued without stopping.
The bicycle became caught on the vehicle and was dragged a short distance before the vehicle left the scene.
The cyclist was treated for scrapes and bruises.
