A court martial will get underway in Victoria Monday (Dec 4) for retired Naval Commander Nord Mensah.
Mensah is facing 3 charges stemming from incidents that allegedly occurred between August 13 and September 5, 2015 when he was the Acting Base Commander in Victoria.
He is charged with one charge of "disgraceful conduct", and 2 charges of conduct "to the prejudice of good order and discipline". It's alleged he pursued and engaged in a sexual relationship with someone directly under his supervision.
The court martial will be held in front of a military judge, Lieutenant-Colonel Louis-Vincent d'Auteuiland, and is expected to take one day -- although it could be extended if necessary.
