A Pet Food drive in memory of a favorite downtown ambassador begins Friday, January 11th.
For years Cody the Golden Retriever served as the unofficial greeter for customers entering his owner's shop -- Charmaine's Past and Present -- in the 1-thousand-block of Fort Street.
He also enjoyed greeting customers on the sidewalk until he passed over the Rainbow Bridge last year.
An annual Pet Food Drive was launched in Cody's name last year, with all proceeds going to the Boneless Project.
Along with pet food, the campaign is looking for pet beds, pet coats, cash, and just about anything pet related.
Donations can be dropped at Charmaine's Past and Present at 1083 Fort St. from January11th through 25th.
