A West Shore man's brutally honest ad to sell his 26 year old car has paid off.
The '93 Subaru Justy was being marketed, warts and all, for $1-thousand. It sold for $750.
The owner -- identified only as "jefft3123" -- garnered over 60-thousand views since posting the ad on Used.ca Saturday.
With hilarious lines like "Do you want a car that blends into the crushing mediocrity of everyday life?" and disclosures like lack of power steering, cup holders and air conditioning, the right buyer was flushed out.
Maybe it was the appealing additional features like manually controlled windows and un-vacuumed dog hair.
But all kidding aside, the seller told CTV Vancouver Island the sedan he described as a "tin can" is actually " a great car" that has never let him down.
And he knew humour would help sell it.
