Bowen Island Brewing is recalling two beers due to a can defect.
The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) and Northam Beverages, the manufacturer of Bowen Island beer, are recalling the Artisan IPA and West Coast Lager, as the rims on some cans are not properly sealed, and may have sharp metal sticking out.
The cans are sold in six packs, with lot numbers which are used to identify the batch stamped on the bottom of the cans.
The defective Artisan IPA cans have lot numbers L18207, L18187, L18215
The defective West Coast Lager cans have the lot number L18207
Customers should return recalled products to the store where they were purchased to receive a full refund.
The LDB is instructing all private retailers, hospitality customers and BC Liquor Stores to pull the product from shelves.
