West Shore RCMP is investigating after a jogger out for a run in Langford today came upon a body.
Police say BC Ambulance attended and confirmed the man -- a while male in his early thirties -- was dead.
The body was found at around 6:45 this morning on what police describe as a short but rocky trail near Whitehorn Place, next to Millstream Village.
"Whitehorn Place is a very small cul-de-sac off of Selwyn Road, and it leads to another street right behind Millstream Village," says Cst. Alex Berube. "It is a very slick area, especially with the rain we've had, so we're not ruling out an accidental fall. But, again, we're not ruling out anything at this point. There's just no evidence to suggest foul play was involved."
Cst. Berube says investigators aren't commenting on the condition of the body at this time.
The BC Coroners Service has been called in to assist RCMP in the investigation.
