A new Westshore transit terminal opened Monday morning on Westhills Way in Langford.
The new hub provides increased service to UVic, and the Department of National Defence base and dockyard.
BC Transit Planning Manager James Wadsworth, says the terminal adds 2 new routes to the system:
" The 2 new routes that we have are a route called the route #46 that goes from Westhills to dockyard in the mornings. And so there's about 6 trips in each direction in the morning that allows people to get into dockyard from the Westshore. And the other route that we have there is the route #39. And this route goes from Westhills to past Royal Roads, the hospital, on to the Interurban-Camosun campus, and then Royal Oak to UVic.
The project was a jointly funded project through the City of Langford, the Westhills Development and BC Transit.
