The Leader of the BC Greens says he isn't sure why fired LNG Advocate Gordon Wilson is proceeding with a lawsuit against the Province, Premier Horgan and Jobs Minister Bruce Ralston.
Documents filed in BC Supreme Court allege John Horgan and Bruce Ralston defamed Wilson and seriously injured his reputation when they made comments about his work following his dismissal.
Both Horgan and Ralston have apologized, and Green Leader Andrew Weaver says he isn't sure what Wilson thinks he'll accomplish:
"I'm not so sure this is going to get him the outcome that he wants because I think he's won the court of public opinion based on the gaff, and the inappropriate language that came out when he was dismissed. I think, I'm not so sure this is necessary. He's won the court of public opinion, people realize that they made a mistake. But we'll see."
Weaver says it's ultimately Wilson's decision and we'll see how it proceeds. Wilson is suing for $5-million.
