B-C Attorney General David Eby is denouncing the recent appearance of posters at the University of Victoria campus calling for a fight against -- quote -- ``anti-white hatred.''
Eby says the appearance of the discriminatory posters are reminders of the work that still must be done to identify and prevent racism in all its forms.
"You know, racist flyers and in Richmond, and now allegations about hate groups here putting out flyers here at the University of Victoria that the university is looking into. So when we hear about these kinds of incidents, that try to foment these kinds of divisions we see in other countries, we need to address that."
Eby appeared Friday at a law class to discuss the government's plan to re-establish the B-C Human Rights Commission, which was scrapped 15 years ago by the former Liberal government.
