The BC government Have paid tribute to Humboldt Broncos defenceman Logan Boulet’s legacy inspiring people throughout Canada to register as organ donors.
Minister of Citizen's Services Jinny Sims and Health Minister, Adrian Dix are encouraging all British Columbians to register to become organ donors.
Leanne Appleton, Provincial Executive Director for BC Transplant says becoming an organ donor can be a difficult but necessary decision.
"It's so important to let your family know what your wishes are. And it's also important to sign up because you can actually have quite a profound impact on eight other lives should you be in an unfortunate situation."
Through 62 Service BC locations, more than 85,000 British Columbians have registered with BC Transplant since 2015.
