A BC based contractor has been selected for expansion and upgrade to the Clover Point Pump Station as part of construction of the Wastewater Treatment Project.
Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. of Richmond has been awarded the $25 million contract to design, build and expand the current pump station.
Construction of the Clover Point Pump Station is expected to begin early next year and will be complete in mid-2020. Kenaidan will begin some pre-construction activities, such as geotechnical investigations next month, and will be preparing the site for work in early 2018.
The expanded pump station will pump wastewater to the McLoughlin Point Wastewater Treatment Plant for tertiary treatment during normal flows and provide bypass pumping to the existing Clover Point outfall during storm months.
