Minimum wage workers are getting a raise on Friday, as part of the B.C. government's efforts to have a $15 an hour base line.
General minimum wage earners and liquor servers will have a $1.30 per hour raise as part of the new plan. Wages will rise every year on June 1st until 2021, where the minimum wage for most employees will be $15.20.
Most minimum wage earners will now be making $12.65 per hour, and liquor servers will be making $11.40 per hour.

Live-in camp leaders will be receiving a raise from making $90.80 per day to $101.24 for each day or part day worked.
Resident caretakers, who will now make $759.32 per month plus $30.43 for each suite for an apartment building containing 9 to 60 suites or $2,832.11 per month for an apartment building containing more than 60 suites.
Farm workers who pick hand harvested crops operate on a different raise schedule, and will not have an increase until Jan. 2019.
