The B.C. Liberals are bringing in new a campaign adviser. The move comes after a new poll released on the weekend indicates the Greens and Liberals are tied on Vancouver Island.
The Greens jumped six percent in a new Mainstreet/Postmedia poll. The poll indicates the strength of the B.C. Liberal vote is strongest at seventy three percent followed by that of the BC NDP at sixty four percent.
Sunday Christy Clark announced she is bringing in Brad Bennett, the son, and grandson of two popular former B.C. premiers, to join her campaign team.
BC Greens leader Andrew Weaver says he's a bit surprised by the move. "It's a little odd that you'd have a political appointee which is the chair of BC Hydro advising in very partisan fashion I mean the lines a bit blurry there."
In 2013, Bennett advised Clark and is credited with helping her win in her first election as leader of the B.C. Liberals.
