It was BC Ferries to the rescue again as not 1 but two Ferries responded to a marine emergency in Baynes Sound on Saturday. The MV Tachek and the Baynes Sound Connector launched rescue boats after the call came in around 11:45 a.m. A canoe with two young men overturned in the water between Denman Island and Vancouver Island. The men were rescued within and dropped at Buckley Bay. This is the second marine rescue that BC Ferries has responded to within a week. Last Saturday the Kahloke vessel rescued a man from an overturned 12-foot boat south of Denman Island.
