A 29 year old man is facing charges of trafficking in opiods as a result of an investigation into local fentanyl trafficking in North Cowichan- Duncan.
RCMP say Andrew Robert Brotherston was arrested last Friday night (Mar 8).
More than 18 grams of suspected opioids, over 1 ounce of methamphetamine, 12 grams of cocaine and over two thousand dollars in cash was seized.
RCMP say Brotherston is a chronic offender and well known to police.
He's been charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and obstruction for providing a false name upon his arrest.
He remains in custody, and is scheduled to appear in Duncan Provincial court on March 19th.
