A 22-year old man has been charged following a series of break-and-enters and thefts at two local post-secondary institutions.
Saanich police say there were five thefts from lockers at Camosun College in late-November. That was followed by four break-and-enters at the University of Victoria in early-December.
Investigators collected evidence from the scene, and forensic officers were subsequently able to identify a suspect. A search warrant was then executed on a home on McNeill Avenue in Oak Bay, and $3-thousand dollars worth of items were recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
Constantin Martin Arthur Mitchell is now charged with one count of B&E and two counts of possession of stolen property.
