West Shore RCMP have one youth in custody, and are searching for 2 more, after a 17 year old boy was assaulted and robbed in Langford Thursday afternoon.
Cnst. Nancy Saggar says it happened about 4pm behind the Brick on Jacklin road:
" The suspects are between the ages of 14 and 17 and are alleged to have taken turns assaulting the 17 year old youth victim by beating him with a baton. They then robbed him of his personal possessions, which included a wallet. The victim knew one of the suspects personally and was able to provide that person's identity to us."
The 15 year old who was identified was arrested. West Shore RCMP are looking for 2 others, both between 14 and 17 years of age.
One is a white male, around 5'6" or 5'7" tall, with blonde hair, a heavier build, and last seen wearing shorts, a red hat, and white shoes. He was seen walking near the McDonalds on Langford Parkway.
The other suspect is a darker skinned male, tall and skinny, with dark, shaggy hair. He was wearing grey skinny jeans and black shoes, and was shirtless at the time of the attack.
The victim, was taken to the hospital with serious -- but non-life threatening injuries.
Cnst. Saggar says it's a disturbing crime, and asks any witnesses to come forward and speak to the police.
And if you are able to identify the other 2 suspects report it to West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264. Or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477).
