The District of Saanich is encouraging people to get out on the bike for the 10th annual Saanich Cycling Festival.
Riders will hit the road, stopping at celebration stations to pick up stamps on their event map for a chance to win prizes.
There will also be a variety of free family activities at the Municipal Hall, including a bike rodeo, cycling obstacle course and skills challenge, a bike safety tent, a kids decorated bike parade, and more.
The kids decorated bike ride starts at 1 o'clock, and the kids will ride with cyclists training at Pacific Sport for the Olympics.
Participants can get an event map at any of the six stations in the community, at Saanich Municipal Hall, on the Galloping Goose Trail at Tillicum and at Grange Road. On the Lochside trail at the Blenkinsop Greenway and at Quadra Street, and at Lochside Elementary.
The Cycling Festival runs from 11 am to 3 pm.
