How can our business become involved?
You can organize a fundraising event within the office or include children’s gift donations in your office party. Many offices have fun at their Christmas party by first drawing names and then buying a gift, which they think that person would have liked when they were a child. Gifts are opened at the party and then, when the fun is over, the gifts are sent to C-FAX Santas Anonymous. We invite you to share with us your creative ways of gathering toys or raising funds.
How does the Christmas toy program work?
Each fall children in local schools colour paper bears, which are hung on trees in local malls and selected businesses. Printed on the back of the bears are children’s names (coded for privacy) with the name of the requested gift. Our volunteers have already called families to see what their child would like for Christmas. Each child can receive two gifts. Shoppers choose a bear and buy the gift, which is recorded on the bear. Gifts are then returned to our volunteers and sent off to our workshop to be wrapped and put with other family gifts and a food hamper. Local firemen deliver the hampers and toys before Christmas.
How can I apply for assistance at Christmas time?
We have forms at C-FAX 1070, which have been provided by the Christmas Bureau.
You must complete a form if you need help. Completing a form at C-FAX does not guarantee that C-FAX Santas Anonymous will be the organization from which you will receive help. We do, however, help all the children and families on the list, which is provided to us by the Christmas Bureau.

How does C-FAX Santas Anonymous gather the names of families in need?
C-FAX Santas Anonymous together with other organizations who assist families in need is a member of the Christmas Bureau. The Christmas Bureau meets throughout the year but becomes very active in November until mid–December. In October request forms are mailed with Income Assistance cheques. If a person needs help at Christmas then they are requested to complete the forms and return them to one of the member organizations of the Christmas Bureau. The Bureau then records names and distributes them to the organizations that will in turn make Christmas special for those in need.
