Aug 2, 2009
THE DEPUTY LEADER OF THE PROVINCIAL CONSERVATIVE PARTY SAYS THE NDP WAS SLOW TO RESPOND TO THE LIBERAL'S HARMONIZED SALES TAX ANNOUNCEMENT---BECAUSE THEY LOVE IT.
SPEAKING ON THE PUBLIC EYE WITH SEAN HOLMAN THIS MORNING CHRIS DELANEY SAYS HST SUITS THE NDP FROM A SOCIALIST PERSPECTIVE
"so what does the NDP do? They stand there and 10 days later come up with a petition, and there's a reason for that. They love the HST! They know the public hates it so they've got to oppose it, otherwise they're going to be irrelevant, but deep down inside, they're socialists, and they go, 'this is great. More money? More stuff we could spend of the people's? This is their legacy and their history, and if they were in government they would be coming up with HST's and worse"
DELANEY SAYS HE THINKS THE LIBERAL GOVERNMENT INTRODUCED THE HST TO COMPENSATE FOR OVERSPENDING ON THE 2010 OLYMPIC GAMES
