I'm glad to hear the Royal London Wax Museum may have found a new home. Too bad it won't be here in Victoria. But the most likely destination for the wax figures now appears to be another Canadian city with a Royal heritage...Regina, Saskatchewan.
Regina calls itself the Queen City. It's not hard to imagine some promotional linkage that would help the museum get off to a successful start. We had heard at one point the owner was looking at Drumheller. There's a place known for a completely different museum ... dinosaurs. I wouldn't get the connection.
Regina is a city that could probably use a new visitor attraction. What leaps to mind when you think of travelling there? Or do you? The outdoor tourism season is pretty short...severe winters, and not much in the way of ski destinations. An indoor attraction could be a nice addition to the city's repertoire. And certainly those wax figures are better off on display somewhere, than sitting in storage.
We'll look for consummation of a deal, and let you know how it turns out.
