XL Foods beef recall expanded to products sold at several Thrifty Foods locations

Thrifty Foods has issued a release to inform the public that the latest extension of the XL Foods beef recall includes products sold at several of their Vancouver Island locations.

Thrifty says, while they don't normally stock XL Foods beef, several of their stores did purchase small amounts during the period in question.

The products were sold at their Hillside, Quadra Street, Admirals Rd., Saltspring Island, and Central Saanich locations.

If you're concerned you may have bought one of the recalled items, Thrifty's recommends you trash the product and take a receipt or label back to the store for a refund.
