July 25, 2012 11:46 from

The suspect in a highly-publicized motorcycle speeding case in Saanich earlier this year is now in police custody.

Many residents were outraged after seeing a YouTube video online showing a motorcyclist cutting in-and-out of traffic on the Trans-Canada while reaching speeds of nearly 300-kilometers an h...our.

25-year old Randy George Scott turned himself in to police in Kelowna overnight. Saanich PD Sgt. Dean Jantzen on what Scott is currently charged with...

"The process itself... We suggest certain charges and then, as that gets distilled through the court process, there might be some amendments. We'll just have to wait and see, but at this point and time (he's charged with) the single count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle."

Scott is expected to make his first court appearance at some point today in Kelowna.
