It's been less than two days since CTV reported that teen philanthropist Jeneece Edroff was facing surgery that could leave her paralysed and, already, a number of members of the Victoria community are stepping up to help.
Jeneece wants to get a second opinon on her condition from the Mayo clinic in the United States, but the government doesn't usually pay for out of province surgeries or second opinions that can be found in BC.
The group Golf for Kids, that Jeneece has worked with in the past, says it will provide the money Jeneece and her family need to make the trip.
Others are also coming forward with offers to help. Jeneece joined us in studio this morning at C-FAX 1070 and says she is thankfull for all the support.
Jeneece still needs one more test before she can make any definite plans regarding travel to the US. It's still not known if the province will provide any funding.
