Logger killed on Thurlow Island identified

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died while working on a log-sorting operation on West Thurlow Island on April 8th.
 

59-year-old Mark Allen Eric Dube had most recently been living in Campbell River.

Dube was employed on a dry-land timber sorting operation at Knox Bay on West Thurlow Island east of Campbell River when he was struck by a log shortly before 5 p.m. on April 8.

He died at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and WorkSafe BC are continuing to investigate this death.
