One of the most senior members of the BC Liberal Government has quit cabinet and will not run in the next election.
BC's Finance Minister and Deputy Premier Kevin Falcon made the announcement this morning. He says he has a second child on the way and wants to make more time for his family.
In a prepared statement, Falcon also says he wants to return to the private sector after nearly 12-years in public office.
What of other top BC Liberals? BC's Education Minister George Abbott was non committal when speaking on C-FAX 1070 Wednesday. Abbott says he will make an announcement soon. He says he will need to make a decision about whether he wants to make 33 years in politics 37 years.
