A citizens group opposed to the installation of BC Hydro smart meters has been left in the dark by the courts.
The BC Court of Appeal will not hear an appeal by the 'Citizens for Safe Technology' group.
The group had argued approval for putting in the meters was not properly constituted through the BC Utilities Commission. They also worried about the meters possibly causing health issues.
The BC Utilities Commission twice rejected the groups arguments.
The appeal court will not hear their case, saying the group does not have 'a substantial question' to argue, and have little prospect of success.
