Victoria's silver medal winning swimmer plans on competing in 2016

The owner of one of Canada's three-silver medals at the London Games says he plans to spend the next four years preparing for another run at the summer games.

Victoria swimmer Ryan Cochrane needs only a gold medal to complete his collection. He added a silver in the 1500-metre freestyle this year after winning bronze in that event in 2008.

The 23-year old spoke with Al Ferraby this morning right here on CFAX.

"Next for me? I'm not sure. I think alot of my decisions were based on how I performed this summer. There's always the option to go back to school in the fall, which i'd like to do, and keep training for four more years. I'm sure it'll go by faster then we know it."

The next summer games will in Rio, Brazil in 2016.
