Two Victoria-based players have been shortlisted as potential members of a provincial team that will compete in the Western Canada Under-16 Challenge Cup.
Team BC is considering goaltender Markus Daly and forward Haydn Hopkins. Both are WHL prospects: Daly was drafted by the Victoria Royals in 2012; Hopkins was selected by the Saskatoon Blades.
The tournament -- scheduled for November 1-4 -- will pit Team BC against clubs from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
